ILLUSTRATION
Using illustration as a communication tool
Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to use illustration in many of the projects I’ve developed. Woodcut printing and digital engraving are techniques that appear repeatedly across my portfolio. Below, you’ll find some of those projects.
Una Historia Brewing CO
In 2024, we developed a branding project for UNA HISTORIA BREWING CO, an artisanal beer brand from Colombia. The project included the logo design and its variations, staying true to the brand’s core concept: beer as the ultimate tool for sharing stories. That’s why their message is “stories in bottles.”
For the label design, we created a highly artistic piece, rich in illustration and carefully crafted with great attention to detail. The artwork, in a subtle and metaphorical way, tells the story of how narratives are bottled, reinforcing the essence of the brand.
ORO CAFÉ
ORO CAFÉ is a coffee brand inspired by peace in Colombia. All the coffee pickers involved in its production are victims of armed conflict and have been displaced by violence. The brand underwent a comprehensive branding process, culminating in the design of its packaging, which features illustrations that pay tribute to Colombia and its cultural heritage.
SANCTUS
In 2025, we developed a branding project for Sanctus, a Colombian clothing brand. The project included the design of its logo and variations, based on an in-depth conceptualization process. Our goal was to convey the idea of “superiority”, leading to the conclusion that Sanctus is more than just a clothing brand—it is a lodge. This concept, subtly inspired by Freemasonry and its sense of exclusivity, was captured in a highly detailed brandbook, which also included all stationery elements.
We then moved on to designing the first collection, consisting of 15 men’s and women’s garments, each embodying the brand’s identity.
GREENWICH & DELANCEY
In 2023, we designed the menu for Greenwish & Delancey, a Wall Street restaurant that blends the concept of a gourmet kosher delicatessen.
For this project, we created 15 custom fast sketch illustrations, based on real photographs of their products. These illustrations add an artisanal and sophisticated touch, aligning with the restaurant’s essence and highlighting the quality of its culinary offerings.
LABORES LÁCTEAS
In 2023, we developed a branding project for LABORAS LÁCTEAS, a Colombian dairy brand. The project included the logo design and its variations, aligning with the brand’s concept and value proposition: all of its products are made by single mothers in the municipality of Labores, Antioquia (Colombia).
For this reason, the logo features an illustration of a woman dressed in the traditional attire of the region, accompanied by a mule carrying milk cans—symbolizing the hard work of rural women in dairy production.
The label showcases an illustration of the farm where the cows are milked and the cheeses are made, emphasizing the artisanal and authentic origin of the products.
PAISANTICOS
In 2024, we worked on refreshing the visual identity of Paisanticos SAS, a Colombian company. We refined the existing logo and redesigned the packaging while preserving key elements of the previous identity.
As part of this process, we personified each product with illustrated characters representing traditional Antioquian farmers. This illustrated style is also present on the back of the packaging, where the preparation instructions are displayed, ensuring a cohesive and engaging visual identity.
SOUL SOCIAL CLUB
LÁCTEOS LA GAVIOTA
In 2022, we developed the branding for Lácteos La Gaviota, a Colombian dairy company. The brand identity was inspired by its own livestock, from which the milk for its products is sourced, while maintaining and highlighting its signature symbol: the seagull.
For the label design, we created detailed illustrations that accurately depict each product, emphasizing its quality and origin.
